VISCOlab 3000 Viscometer
The VISCOlab 3000 is a viscosity measuring instrument that uses a piston sensor driven by an electromagnetic field. It also has a built-in temperature sensor and can continuously measure and display viscosity and temperature.
It supports a viscosity measurement range from 0.2–20,000 cP, with several piston ranges available to match the viscosity of the sample. The instrument can display dynamic viscosity in cP or calculated kinematic viscosity in cSt. The temperature can be displayed in either °C or °F. It uses less than 2 milliliters of sample, which helps reduce sample waste.
The temperature control range starts from 15°C above ambient temperature and goes up to 180°C or 356°F. When the optional Cooling Jacket is installed, the temperature range can be extended down to -40°C. This allows the instrument to test many types of samples, such as diesel fuel, lubricating oil, bunker fuel, gear oil, and asphalt.
The instrument can save up to 40 test settings, reducing the need to enter the same settings again when testing different sample types. It also supports data transfer to a computer through an RS-232 port for monitoring, storage, or graph display. It is suitable for laboratories that need consistent test conditions.
