The ProGage Touch Thickness Tester is a precision deadweight micrometer designed to measure the thickness of sheet materials that require high accuracy and consistent pressure. It is suitable for materials such as paper, plastic film, tissue paper, and textiles. 

The instrument uses a counterbalanced lever system to control the pressure applied by the pressure foot to the sample. This helps reduce measurement errors caused by uneven pressure. 

The ProGage Touch Thickness Tester can be used for many types of materials, including: 

• Measuring the thickness of general paper, packaging paper, and corrugated board 
• Measuring the thickness of plastic film, packaging film, and food wrapping film 
• Measuring the thickness of tissue paper 

The instrument comes with an easy-to-use touchscreen that displays the thickness value and test results immediately. 

Users can adjust the test speed, sample opening distance, measuring travel distance, and the time that the pressure foot stays in contact with the sample, known as Dwell Time. These settings can be adjusted to match different test methods and sample types. 

The variable-speed motor allows the instrument to perform up to 20 tests per minute. This makes it suitable for laboratories that need to test a large number of samples.
