Packaging Leak Tester – Leakage Tester GB-M
The Leakage Tester GB-M is used to detect leaks and check the sealing performance of bags and pouches, especially flexible packaging. It helps check whether the seal is complete and strong enough to prevent air, moisture, or outside contaminants from entering the package before the product is sold or moved to the next production step.
The Leakage Tester GB-M works by creating a vacuum and using a high-resolution pressure sensor to monitor pressure changes inside the system. This method helps detect leaks, weak seals, incomplete seals, and other package defects that may affect product quality and shelf life.
The machine is controlled by a microcomputer system. Users can set the vacuum level and test time based on the packaging material, package size, and quality control requirements of each factory. This helps provide stable test conditions, reduce human error, and make it easier to compare test results between samples or production batches.
The Leakage Tester GB-M is suitable for quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), and research and development (R&D) in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries. It helps reduce the risk of package leaks, product damage, quality loss, and contamination during storage and transportation.
Working Principle of Leakage Tester GB-M
The instrument creates a vacuum environment inside the test chamber, where the sample is submerged in water. When a pressure difference is generated between the inside and outside of the package, any leakage can be identified by observing air bubbles escaping from the package or water penetrating into it.
If air leakage or water ingress is detected, it indicates that the package has sealing defects or leakage points. This enables manufacturers to identify packaging issues and improve production quality effectively.
Applications
The Leakage Tester GB-M is suitable for leak testing and package integrity evaluation of various packaging types, including:
- Foil pouches
- Heat-sealed plastic bags
- Food and beverage pouches
- Pharmaceutical and medical packaging
- Plastic-coated paper cartons and bags
- Plastic bottles
- Plastic tubes
- Cans and various rigid containers
