AAS Elemental and Metal Analyzer

The AAS, or Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, is suitable for laboratories that require a dedicated analytical system for use with Graphite Furnace AAS or Hydride Generation AAS, without the need for an integrated flame atomization system. 

Selecting a dedicated AAS configuration allows laboratories to design an analytical system that matches the sample type and concentration level of the elements being measured. 

  • Graphite Furnace AAS is suitable for analysing metals and elements at low concentration levels. The sample is atomised inside a graphite tube, allowing the analyte to remain in the optical path longer than it would in a flame system.This provides high detection sensitivity while requiring only microlitre volumes of the sample.
     
  • Hydride Generation AAS is designed for the analysis of certain elements that can be converted into volatile hydride compounds, such as arsenic, selenium, and antimony.The gaseous analyte is separated from the sample solution and transferred directly into the atomiser cell. This improves analyte introduction efficiency, increases detection sensitivity, and reduces the effects of certain sample matrices. Hydride generation conditions and potential interferences within the sample must be properly controlled to ensure accurate and reliable analytical results. 

The Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer allows operators to create analytical methods, control instrument parameters, monitor operating conditions, and manage analytical results through a single interface. This helps simplify complex procedures and improves testing consistency between analytical runs.
