Shell Spot Test Kit
This test kit is used to predict the stability of residual fuel oil and to check the compatibility of the residual fuel oil with a blend stock.
– The Zematra/Shell Spot Test Kit performs tests according to the SMS 2712-13 test method.
– A similar procedure is described in D4740. The SMS method differs from the method in the fact that the sample is diluted with cetane prior to analysis and that the spot is washed with n-Heptane.
– The kit is a complete self-contained unit with stirrer, oven, filter unit, syringes, filter paper and solvents.
