Temperature Controlled Viscometer for oil viscosity measurements in lab (VISCOlab 3000: Laboratory Viscometer)

The VISCOlab 3000 laboratory viscometer is the ideal choice for measurement when viscosity testing requires the sample material to be tested at specific temperatures. This lab viscometer is used for applications ranging from research and development through quality control, and industries ranging from life sciences to oil analysis, including measuring oil viscosity for VI (Viscosity Index ). It is a temperature controlled viscometer incorporating an integrated heater that delivers accurate measurements at user-defined temperatures from slightly above ambient to 356F (180C). The temperature range of this viscometer can be extended to -40C with the optional cooling jacket coupled with an appropriate cooling bath.

The VISCOlab 3000 is available in application specific configurations for diesel, lube oil, bunker oil, asphalt/bitumen, and gear oil. See configuration tab for more information.

Laboratory viscometer for accurate, reliable, repeatable viscosity readings (VISCOlab 4000: Small Sample Viscometer)

The VISCOlab 4000 is a small sample viscometer which supports up to 12 different 20:1 viscosity ranges; up to 10,000 cP with several output options. The VISCOlab4000 can display viscosity in either centipoise or centistokes, and temperature can be displayed in either C or F. This unit requires less than 2 ml of sample and produces an extremely reliable viscosity measurement.

An optional jacket is available for temperature control with a re-circulating bath, enabling accurate viscosity measurements from -40C to 110C. In addition to the sensor, sophisticated electronics provides users with substantial flexibility, including specifying temperature and viscosity display units and data averaging intervals. This small sample viscometer incorporates a serial interface to make it easy to output data to a PC or an optional thermal printer. .

Lab viscometer for biotech and life science applications requires only 75 µl (VISCOlab 5000: Micro Sample Viscometer)

The Cambridge Viscosity micro sample viscometer, VISCOlab 5000, features the smallest sample size requirement for any automated viscosity measurement system available, only 75 ul (microliters). This lab viscometer is ideal for biotech and pharmaceutical drug discovery and delivery, as well as research applications where sample volume is limited. This micro sample viscometer provides accurate and reliable results quickly and cost-effectively.

Samples are introduced to the lab viscometer measurement chamber via pipette. The remainder of the viscosity measurement process is fully automated. The VISCOlab 5000 controls the temperature of the sample from 20 to 40C at the discretion of the technician, measures the viscosity of the sample, processes the data, and either displays the results on the unit's easy-to-read screen or sends them to an optional printer for hard copy output.

This micro-sample viscometer incorporates an imbedded Peltier cell to digitally maintain the desired test temperature. No temperature-control fluids or large bath apparatus is required. This enables the device to require only 3 square feet (420 square inches) of lab table space, and is easy to move as necessary. Cleaning is simple and verified through the device's self-tracking functionality. With its ability to measure accuracy within 1% of range, the VISCOlab 5000 brings remarkable new viscosity measurement capabilities to laboratory environments. .

High Pressure Viscosity Analysis for PVT Oil, Core Analysis, and R&D (Viscometer Sensor 440/443: High-Pressure)

The high pressure viscosity sensors 440 and 443 are used in various applications including PVT oil research, EOR, core analysis, and supercritical fluid research. Fluid flows through a 1/4 inch high pressure port for measurement in which the fluid may be measured under low flow or static conditions. A Cambridge Viscosity system measures viscosity, temperature, and temperature compensated viscosity Two coils move the piston back and forth magnetically at a constant force. Proprietary circuitry analyzes the pistons two-way travel time to measure absolute viscosity. A built-in temperature detector (RTD) senses the temperature of the sampling chamber. .

For oil, gas, and supercritical fluids, the VISCOlab PVT delivers accurate, fast, and reliable viscosity measurements. In high-pressure environments, correctly analyzing precious samples is as challenging as it is critical. The VISCOlab PVT is the gold standard for high pressure viscosity analysis.
